For further information you should contact your Sports Governing Body, your local social work department, or the Child Protection in Sport Service appropriate to your country

In Scotland, the Child Protection in Sport Service exists to help sports organisations to put safeguards in place to keep children and young people safe.  This service is a partnership between CHILDREN 1st and sportscotland.

In England and Wales, the Child Protection in Sport Unit is a partnership between Sport England and the NSPCC.  In Northern Ireland there is a similar partnership between the NSPCC and the Sports Council for Northern Ireland.

Links to their respective websites can be found in the ‘See also’ listing.

The Child Protection in Sport Accord 2006 sets out the agreement framework between all the respective partners.
