Most Scottish local authorities provide direct support to sports clubs.  In the Articles panel to the right of this page you'll find links to contact details for local authorities. 

Each Council also has a Local Sports Council and a link to an index of local contacts is also provided. The type of support available may include:

• promotion of specific sports
• facility lettings
• club accreditation schemes,
• financial assistance
• coaching schemes for juniors and/or adults
• training and support for coaches
• disclosure vetting
• local and regional events in local council owned facilities
• holiday sports schemes for juniors
• support for local sports clubs
